وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ وَالْيُمْنُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَهْلُهَا مُعَانُونَ عَلَيْهَا ، قَلِّدُوهَا وَلَا تُقَلِّدُوهَا الْأَوْتَارَ" .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ .
وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ أَتَمَّ مِنْهُ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَيَأْتِي بَعْدَ هَذَا بِبَابٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ .
وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ أَتَمَّ مِنْهُ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَيَأْتِي بَعْدَ هَذَا بِبَابٍ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Goodness and blessing have been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection, and their owners are helped in looking after them. Put collars on them, but do not hang bowstrings on them."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah; there is weakness in him, and his hadith is hasan (good).
Imam Ahmad recorded it as a more complete narration than this, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy); it will come one chapter after this.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah; there is weakness in him, and his hadith is hasan (good).
