Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9328

Sayyiduna Abu Kabshah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a Companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Goodness has been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection; their owners are helped in looking after them, and the example of one who spends on them is like one who stretches out his hand to give in charity."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
