بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْخَيْلِ

وَعَنْ عَرِيبٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ وَالنُّبْلُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَأَهْلُهَا مُعَانُونَ عَلَيْهَا ، وَالْمُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهَا كَالْبَاسِطِ يَدَهُ فِي الصَّدَقَةِ ، وَأَبْوَالُهَا وَأَرْوَاثُهَا لِأَهْلِهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ مِسْكِ الْجَنَّةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .

Sayyiduna Arib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Goodness and blessing have been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection; their owners are helped in looking after them, and the example of one who spends on them is like one who stretches out his hand to give in charity. Their urine and their dung, for their owners, will be of the musk of Paradise in the presence of Allah Almighty on the Day of Resurrection."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain contains a narrator whom I do not know.
