Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Dharr, remember what I am about to tell you: a young goat that comes to a Muslim man is better for him than gold the size of Mount Uhud that he leaves behind him. O Abu Dharr, remember what I am telling you: those who have much will be those who have little on the Day of Resurrection, except the one who does this and this (that is, spends in the way of Allah). O Abu Dharr, remember what I am telling you: goodness has been placed in the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) Indeed, goodness is in the forelock of the horse."
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Abu al-Aswad al-Ghifari, who is da'if (weak).
