بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يُصَدِّقُ الْأُمَرَاءَ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَيُعِينُهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ .
One who affirms the lies of rulers and helps them in their oppression

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " يَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ يَغْشَاهُمْ غَوَاشٍ وَحَوَاشٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ ، يَكْذِبُونَ وَيَظْلِمُونَ ، فَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَيُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى بِنَحْوِهِ وَزَادَ : " فَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ وَهُوَ مِنِّي بَرِيءٌ " .
وَفِيهِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ الْقُرَشِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى بِنَحْوِهِ وَزَادَ : " فَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ وَهُوَ مِنِّي بَرِيءٌ " .
وَفِيهِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ الْقُرَشِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will be rulers around whom people of every sort will gather; they will lie and they will oppress. Whoever goes to them, affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression has nothing to do with me, and I have nothing to do with him. And whoever does not go to them, does not affirm their lies and does not help them in their oppression is connected to me, and I am connected to him."
Ahmad recorded it, and Abu Ya'la recorded something similar and added the words: "I will be free of him, and he will be free of me." Its chain contains a narrator, Sulayman bin Abi Sulayman al-Qurashi, whom I do not know; the rest of the narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
