Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 923

Abu al-Za'ra' narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Do not ask the People of the Book about anything, for they will not guide you when they themselves are astray. Either they will tell you something true and you will deny it, or they will tell you something false and you will believe it."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
