وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُحَدِّثُنَا عَامَّةَ لَيْلِهِ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، لَا يَقُومُ إِلَّا لِعِظَمِ الصَّلَاةِ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَأَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحٌ .

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told us about the Children of Israel for most of the night, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) (ended that talk and) rose only because the prayer was to be performed.
