Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) returned from the land of Abyssinia, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to meet him. When he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his face turned red out of reverence for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed him between his eyes and said: O my beloved! You resemble me more than anyone else in my character and in my outward appearance; you too were created from the same clay from which I was created. O my beloved, tell me something astonishing about the people of Abyssinia. Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Yes, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! Once I was standing on a road, and meanwhile an old woman passed by with a vessel on her head. Then a young man came, spurring on his horse; he passed by that woman and the vessel fell from her head. The woman stood up straight, followed the horseman with her gaze, and said: Tomorrow you will be ruined, when the King sits on His Kursi and exacts retribution for the oppressed from the oppressor. Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I looked at the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Allah Almighty does not purify a nation in which the oppressed cannot take his right from the oppressor without distress."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Makki bin Abdullah al-Ru'ayni, who is da'if (weak).
