بَابُ مَا يُخَافُ عَلَى الْأُمَّةِ مِنْ زَلِّةِ الْعَالِمِ وَجِدَالِ الْمُنَافِقِ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ .

وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ : مِنْ زَلَّةِ عَالِمٍ ، وَمِنْ هَوًى مُتَّبَعٍ ، وَمِنْ حُكْمٍ جَائِرٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَقَدْ حَسَّنَ لَهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَقَدْ حَسَّنَ لَهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ .
Sayyiduna Amr bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "I fear three things for my Ummah: the slip of a scholar, the following of desires, and the judgement (or rule) of an oppressor."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Kathir bin Abdullah bin Awf, who is matruk (abandoned), though al-Tirmidhi graded a narration from him as hasan (good).
