وَعَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ : نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ ، وَتَفْضِيضِ الْأَقْدَاحِ ، فَكَلَّمَهُ النِّسَاءُ فِي لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ فَأَبَى عَلَيْنَا ، وَرَخَّصَ لَنَا فِي تَفْضِيضِ الْأَقْدَاحِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأُبُلِّيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأُبُلِّيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from wearing gold and from plating cups with silver. The women spoke to him about wearing gold, but he did not permit us; however, he permitted us to plate cups with silver.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains the narrator Umar bin Yahya al-Ubulli, whom I do not know. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
