Sayyidah Khulaydah bint Qa'nab (may Allah be pleased with her), who was one of the women who came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to give him their pledge of allegiance, says: A woman came to him wearing a bracelet of gold, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) refused to take her pledge. The woman went out of the crowd and took off the bracelet; then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took her pledge. Then she went out to look for the bracelet, to see it, but someone had taken it away.
Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains the narrator Humayd bin Hammad bin Abi al-Khuwar, who is da'if (weak), though Ibn Hibban declared him thiqah (trustworthy) and said: "He makes mistakes." His female teacher is Taghlib bint al-Khawwar, and I do not know this woman. The rest of the narrators of its chain are thiqat (trustworthy).
