وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : لَمَّا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ قُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا نَرْبُطُ الْمِسْكَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ؟ قَالَ : " أَفَلَا تَرْبُطُونَهُ بِالْفِضَّةِ ثُمَّ تُلَطِّخُونَهُ بِزَعْفَرَانٍ فَيَكُونَ مِثْلَ الذَّهَبِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ . وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى أَيْضًا .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade wearing gold, we said: "O Messenger of Allah! Should we not tie musk with a little gold?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why do you not tie it with silver, then rub saffron on it, and it will be like gold?"
