وَعَنْ أَمَةِ اللَّهِ بِنْتِ مَذْعُورٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا قَالَتْ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي فِي دِرْعٍ وَخِمَارٍ ، فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنِ الْعَلَمِ فِي الثَّوْبِ فَقَالَتْ : كُنَّا نَلْبَسُ مِثْلَ هَذَا الثَّوْبِ - لِثَوْبٍ عَلَيْهَا فِيهِ عَلَمٌ حَرِيرٌ - عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَأَمَةُ اللَّهِ وَأَمُّهَا لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Amatullah bint Madh'ur narrates from her mother: I came to Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) while she was praying in a shift and a head-covering. I asked her about the markings (that is, embroidered borders) in clothes, and she said: "In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) we women used to wear clothes like this." She said this about the garment she was wearing, which had silk embroidery in it.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. I do not know the woman named Amatullah or her mother. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
