وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَلْبَسْ حَرِيرًا وَلَا ذَهَبًا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day should not wear silk or gold."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah; his hadith is hasan (good), though there is weakness in him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
