Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Ma'rur (may Allah be pleased with him), who was suffering from an illness called "dhabhah" (quinsy). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that he be lanced with fire, so that he would recover.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Isa bin Abdullah, who is from the descendants of Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him), and he is da'if (weak).
