Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 8313

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Hudayj (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there is a cure in anything, then it is in cupping, or in drinking honey, or in cauterising with fire applied to the place of pain; and I do not like to be cauterised."
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. The narrators of Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih, except Suwayd bin Qays, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
