Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 824

Sayyiduna Abdah al-Suwa'i narrates: Some people were making a commotion near the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). His (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions said: O Messenger of Allah, if you were to send someone to these people to stop them from this behaviour (it would be appropriate). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I were to send word to them and forbid them from going to al-Hajun, some of them would go there, even if he had no business there.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
