وَعَنْ كُلْثُومِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ قَالَ : كَانُوا بِوَاسِطِ الْقَصَبِ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى [بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ] بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ : فَإِذَا عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ - يُقَالُ لَهُ : أَبُو الْغَادِيَةِ - اسْتَسْقَى [مَاءً] فَأُتِيَ بِإِنَاءٍ مُفَضَّضٍ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ فِي أَثْنَاءِ حَدِيثٍ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Kulthum bin Jabr narrates: They were at Wasit al-Qasab with Abd al-A'la bin Abdullah bin Amir. With him was a man called Abu al-Ghadiyah. He asked for water, and water was brought to him in a vessel plated with silver, so he refused to drink from it (that vessel) and mentioned that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) — after this the narrator mentioned the complete hadith.
