بَابٌ فِيمَنْ تَرَكَ الْخَمْرَ وَالْحَرِيرَ لِلَّهِ .
One who gives up wine and silk for the sake of Allah

وَعَنِ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ تَرَكَ الْخَمْرَ وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ لَأَسْقِيَنَّهُ مِنْهُ مِنْ حَظِيرَةِ الْقُدُسِ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ الْحَرِيرَ وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ لِأَكْسُوَنَّهُ إِيَّاهُ مِنْ حَظِيرَةِ الْقُدُسِ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ قَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : صَدُوقٌ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ الْجَوْزَجَانِيُّ ، وَالْعُقَيْلِيُّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ شُعَيْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ قَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : صَدُوقٌ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ الْجَوْزَجَانِيُّ ، وَالْعُقَيْلِيُّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (Allah Almighty has said:) "Whoever abandons wine while he is able to have it, I will give him drink from 'Hazirat al-Quds'; and whoever abandons silk while he is able to have it, I will clothe him from 'Hazirat al-Quds'."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Shu'ayb bin Bayan. Al-Dhahabi says: He is saduq (truthful); al-Juzajani and al-Uqayli declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
