وَعَنِ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ لَمْ يَرْضَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً ، فَإِنْ مَاتَ مَاتَ كَافِرًا ، وَإِنْ تَابَ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَإِنْ عَادَ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يَسْقِيَهُ مِنْ طِينَةِ الْخَبَالِ " قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا طِينَةُ الْخَبَالِ ؟ قَالَ : " صَدِيدُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ حَسُنَ حَدِيثُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ حَسُنَ حَدِيثُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyidah Asma' bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever drinks wine, Allah Almighty will not be pleased with him for forty days; and if he dies in that state, he will die as a disbeliever. If he repents, Allah Almighty will accept his repentance. If he drinks again, it is binding upon Allah Almighty that He make him drink from Tinat al-Khabal. I said: O Messenger of Allah! What is Tinat al-Khabal? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The pus of the people of Hell, mixed with blood."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Shahr bin Hawshab, and he is da'if (weak), though his hadith has been graded hasan (good); the remaining narrators of Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
