بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَمَنْ يَشْرَبُهَا .

وَعَنِ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَعَثَنِي رَحْمَةً وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَمْحَقَ الْمَزَامِيرَ وَالْكِنَّارَاتِ يَعْنِي الْبَرَابِطَ ، وَالْمَعَازِفَ ، وَالْأَوْثَانَ الْتِي كَانَتْ تُعْبَدُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ . وَأَقْسَمَ رَبِّي بِعِزَّتِهِ لَا يَشْرَبُ عَبْدٌ مِنْ عَبِيدِي جَرْعَةً مِنْ خَمْرٍ ، إِلَّا سَقَيْتُهُ مَكَانَهَا مِنْ حَمِيمِ جَهَنَّمَ مُعَذَّبًا أَوْ مَغْفُورًا لَهُ ، وَلَا يَسْقِيهَا صَبِيًّا صَغِيرًا إِلَّا سَقَيْتُهُ مَكَانَهَا مِنْ حَمِيمِ جَهَنَّمَ مُعَذَّبًا أَوْ مَغْفُورًا لَهُ ، وَلَا يَدَعُهَا عَبْدٌ مِنْ عَبِيدِي مِنْ مَخَافَتِي ، إِلَّا سَقَيْتُهُ إِيَّاهَا مِنْ حَظِيرَةِ الْقُدُسِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Allah Almighty has sent me as a mercy and a means of guidance for all the worlds, and He has commanded me to wipe out the mazamir and the kinnarat (the narrator said: this refers to musical instruments), and also to wipe out the idols that were worshipped besides Allah Almighty in the Days of Ignorance. My Lord has sworn by His might: 'Whichever of My servants drinks a single sip of wine, I will make him drink in its place the boiling water of Hell, whether that person is punished or has been forgiven; and whoever gives wine to a young child to drink, I will make him drink in its place the boiling water of Hell, whether that person is punished or has been forgiven; and whichever of My servants abandons wine out of fear of Me, I will give him drink from Hazirat al-Quds.'"
