Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks wine, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. If he repents, Allah Almighty will accept his repentance. If he does it again, then the same will happen. The narrator said: I do not know whether it was on the third time or perhaps the fourth time that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If he does it again, it is binding upon Allah Almighty that He make him drink from 'Tinat al-Khabal'. The people said: O Messenger of Allah! What is Tinat al-Khabal? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The extract of the people of Hell (that is, the matter of their blood, pus and other filth)."
Ahmad, al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded it; however, he recorded these words: "It is a right upon Allah Almighty." Its chain contains a narrator who is not named, and a narrator, Shahr.
