بَابٌ ثَانٍ مِنْهُ فِي اتِّبَاعِ الْكِتَابِ وَالسُّنَّةِ وَمَعْرِفَةِ الْحَلَالِ مِنَ الْحَرَامِ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ افْتَرَضَ فَرَائِضَ فَلَا تُضَيِّعُوهَا ، وَحَدَّ حُدُودًا فَلَا تَعْتَدُوهَا ، وَسَكَتَ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ نِسْيَانٍ فَلَا تُكَلَّفُوهَا ، رَحْمَةً لَكُمْ فَاقْبَلُوهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ أَصْرَمُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَنُسِبَ إِلَى الْوَضْعِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ أَصْرَمُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ ، وَنُسِبَ إِلَى الْوَضْعِ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has made certain things obligatory, so do not neglect them; He has set certain limits, so do not transgress them; and He has remained silent about many things, not out of forgetfulness, so you are not bound by them. He has done this as a mercy for you, so accept it!"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains Asram bin Hawshab, who is matruk (abandoned) and has been accused of fabricating hadith.
