Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7943

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate food, he would lick his fingers and say: "Licking the fingers is a blessing."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Umarah al-Ansari, and he is mastur (of unknown condition); the remaining narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
Muslim and al-Tirmidhi recorded it in the form of this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When one of you eats something, he should lick his fingers, for he does not know in which of them the blessing lies."
