وَعَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَأْكُلُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ الثَّلَاثِ ، بِالْإِبْهَامِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا وَيَلْعَقُ الْوُسْطَى ثُمَّ الَّتِي تَلِيهَا ثُمَّ الْإِبْهَامَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأُذُنِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأُذُنِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) eating with his three fingers, the thumb and the two fingers next to it. (After finishing the meal) he would first lick the middle finger, then the one next to it, and then the thumb (he would lick).
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains al-Husayn bin Ibrahim al-Udhuni and Muhammad bin Ka'b bin Ujrah, and I do not know either of them. The remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
