وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ نَسِيَ أَنْ يَذْكُرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي أَوَّلِ طَعَامِهِ فَلْيَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي آخِرِهِ ، وَلْيَقْرَأْ : قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ النَّصِيبِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever forgets to mention the name of Allah at the beginning of his food, let him mention the name of Allah at its end and recite Surah al-Ikhlas."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Hamzah bin Abi Hamzah al-Nasibi, and he is matruk (abandoned).
