وَعَنْ زَيْنَبَ الْأَسَدِيَّةِ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ جَارِيَةً فَوَلَدَتْ غُلَامًا ، وَإِنَّا كُنَّا نَتَّهِمُهَا ؟ فَقَالَ : " ائْتُونِي بِهِ " فَلَمَّا أَتَوْهُ بِهِ نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا : " إِنَّ الْمِيرَاثَ لَهُ ، وَأَمَّا أَنْتِ فَاحْتَجِبِي مِنْهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyidah Zaynab al-Asadiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My father has passed away. He left behind a slave woman who gave birth to a boy, and we suspect this slave woman." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Bring him to me." When they brought the child and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at him, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to that woman, "This child will receive the inheritance, but you must observe hijab from him."
Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, al-Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abi Shaybah, and he is da'if (weak).
