Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7752

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) while she was weeping. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: "Why are you weeping? Perhaps the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has divorced you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has already divorced you once before, and took you back for my sake. By Allah! If he divorces you a second time, I will never speak to you."
Abu Ya'la and Bazzar recorded it. The narrators of Abu Ya'la are the narrators of the Sahih, and the same is the case with the narrators of Bazzar.
