وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَتَّابِ قَالَ : قَامَ مُعَاوِيَةُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَرْعَاهُ عَلَى زَوْجٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ وَأَحْنَاهُ عَلَى وَلَدٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي أَثْنَاءِ حَدِيثٍ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
وَفِي الْمَنَاقِبِ أَحَادِيثُ نَحْوُ هَذَا .

Zayd bin Abi al-Attab narrates: Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood on the pulpit and said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Of the women who ride camels, the best are the women of Quraysh: the most caring of their husbands, and the most tender towards their children in their childhood."
At-Tabarani recorded it in the course of a longer hadith, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy). Other hadiths of this kind will come in the chapter on virtues (Manaqib).
