وَعَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَتْ : خَطَبَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقُلْتُ : مَا بِي عَنْكَ رَغْبَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَلَكِنْ لَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَتَزَوَّجَ وَبَنِيَّ صِغَارٌ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " [ لِمَ ؟ ] خَيْرُ نِسَاءٍ رَكِبْنَ الْإِبِلَ نِسَاءُ قُرَيْشٍ أَحْنَاهُ عَلَى طِفْلٍ فِي صِغَرِهِ وَأَرْعَاهُ عَلَى بَعْلٍ فِي ذَاتِ يَدِهِ " .
قُلْتُ : لَهَا عِنْدَ التِّرْمِذِيِّ غَيْرُ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : لَهَا عِنْدَ التِّرْمِذِيِّ غَيْرُ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyidah Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) proposed marriage to me, and I said: O Messenger of Allah! It is not that I have no desire for you, but I do not like to marry while my children are small. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Why is that? Of the women who ride camels, the best are the women of Quraysh: the most tender towards children in their childhood and the most caring of their husbands." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: At-Tirmidhi recorded a narration from Sayyidah Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) other than this one.
At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
