Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7286

Muhammad bin Umar bin Sa'id narrates: A slave was owned by ten men. They freed him, but one of them did not free him. He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) so that he might have the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intercede for him with that man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke to that man about the slave, and the man presented his share to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) freed the slave. That slave used to say: "I am the freed slave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." His name was "Rafi' Abu al-Bahiyy".
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration; I do not know this narrator named Muhammad bin Umar; the remaining narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.
