Book of Freeing Slaves
بَابٌ فِيمَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً .
One who frees a believing slave

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ مُؤْمِنًا فِي الدُّنْيَا أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever frees a believer in this world, Allah Almighty frees, in place of each limb of (the freed one), each limb of (the one who freed him) from Hell."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Abi Humayd, who is da'if (weak).
