وَعَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ : " أَرِقَّاءَكُمْ أَرِقَّاءَكُمْ أَرِقَّاءَكُمْ أَطْعِمُوهُمْ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ وَاكْسُوهُمْ مِمَّا تَلْبَسُونَ ، فَإِنْ جَاءُوا بِذَنْبٍ لَا تُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَغْفِرُوهُ فَبِيعُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ ، وَلَا تُعَذِّبُوهُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Yazid bin Jariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take care of those under your ownership, take care of those under your ownership, take care of those under your ownership. Feed them from what you eat and clothe them from what you wear. If they commit a wrong that you cannot forgive, then sell the servants of Allah, and do not torment them."
