Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 718

It is reported about him (that is, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "People will come who will drink knowledge (that is, they will learn knowledge but will not act upon it)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ata' bin al-Sa'ib, who suffered from confusion (ikhtilat).
