بَابُ السُّؤَالِ عَمَّا يُشَكُّ فِيهِ .

عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْأَسْوَدِ - قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : شَيْءٌ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْكَ شَكَكْتُ فِيهِ . قَالَ : " إِذَا شَكَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ فَلْيَسْأَلْنِي عَنْهُ " . قَالَ : قَوْلُكَ فِي أَزْوَاجِكَ : " إِنِّي لَا أَرْجُو لَهُنَّ مِنْ بَعْدِي الصِّدِّيقِينَ " . قَالَ : " وَمَنْ تَعُدُّونَ الصِّدِّيقِينَ ؟ " ، فَقُلْنَا : أَوْلَادُنَا الَّذِينَ يَهْلِكُونَ صِغَارًا ؟ قَالَ : " لَا ، الصِّدِّيقُونَ هُمُ الْمُتَصَدِّقُونَ " ثَلَاثًا .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ كُلُّهُمْ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ قُرَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : تَفَرَّدَ عَنْهَا ابْنُ أَخِيهَا مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ .
قُلْتُ : وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ فِي هَذَا الْمَعْنَى فِي بَابِ السُّؤَالِ عَنِ الْفِقْهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ كُلُّهُمْ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ قُرَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ الذَّهَبِيُّ : تَفَرَّدَ عَنْهَا ابْنُ أَخِيهَا مُوسَى بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الزَّمْعِيُّ .
قُلْتُ : وَتَأْتِي أَحَادِيثُ فِي هَذَا الْمَعْنَى فِي بَابِ السُّؤَالِ عَنِ الْفِقْهِ .
Sayyiduna al-Miqdad bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I submitted to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Something I heard from you (peace and blessings be upon him) — I have come to have a doubt about it. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When one of you has a doubt about a matter, he should ask me about that matter. Sayyiduna al-Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: You (peace and blessings be upon him) said about your wives: "After me, I do not hope for the siddiqin for them." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Whom do you count as the siddiqin? We submitted: Our children who died at a young age. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No! The siddiqin means those who give charity. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; all of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that about a woman named Quraybah, al-Dhahabi says: Her nephew, Musa bin Ya'qub al-Zam'i, is alone in narrating from her. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Hadiths on this subject will come in the chapter on asking about fiqh.
