بَابُ أَخْذِ حَقِّ الضَّعِيفِ مِنَ الْقَوِيِّ .

Majma al-Zawaid 7013 — Taking the right of the weak from the strong
وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الْمَدِينَةَ أَقْطَعَ الدُّورَ ، وَأَقْطَعَ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ فِيمَنْ أَقْطَعَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نَكِّبْهُ عَنَّا . قَالَ : " فَلِمَ بَعَثَنِي اللَّهُ إِذًا ؟ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُقَدِّسُ أُمَّةً لَا يُعْطُونَ الضَّعِيفَ مِنْهُمْ حَقَّهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, he granted various plots for houses, and among those to whom he granted them, he granted one to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). His companions said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, move him away from us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then why has Allah Almighty sent me? Indeed, Allah Almighty does not sanctify a nation whose people do not give the weak among them their right."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
