وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيَّمَا رَجُلٍ أُعْمِرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لَهُ وَلِعَقِبِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ - يُرِيدُ بِهَا مَنْ يَرِثُهُ مِنْ عَقِبِهِ - أَوْ أُرْقِبَ رُقْبَى فَهِيَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْعُمْرَى " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is given something as umra, it will go to him and, after him, to his descendants." (The narrator says:) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant that those who are among his descendants will receive it by way of inheritance. (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) "And when something has been given as ruqba, it too will have the status of umra."
