Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6693

Sayyiduna Tilibb (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fed me and measured out one mudd for me. I picked it up and ate with the people, until it became food (that is, it sufficed for everyone). Then Sayyiduna Tilibb (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "You gave me food to eat on such-and-such a day, and I have kept it gathered up until today." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took it from me as a loan, and from it the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) measured out for me what he had measured out for me before that.
At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, a woman named Umm Abdullah bint Milqam, and I have not found anyone who wrote her biography. Abu Dawud recorded narrations from her father, Milqam, and the rest of the narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
