Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a man has a right due from another man and he defers it until its appointed term, he will receive the reward of charity; and if he defers it even after its appointed term, he will receive every day the reward of giving that same amount in charity."
At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Dawud al-A'ma (the blind), who is a kadhdhab (liar).
