وَعَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ : لَقِيتُ سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَلْقَمَةَ فَحَدَّثَنِي بِهِ ، فَرَجَعَ عَنْهُ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تُكَذِّبَ صَاحِبَكَ فَلَقِّنْهُ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Hammad bin Zayd narrates: I met Salamah bin Alqamah, and he narrated this report to me; then he retracted it, and then he said: "When you intend to make your companion appear a liar, prompt him (with it)."
