بَابُ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ وَالْكَلَإِ وَمَا لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعَهُ .

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَتَاهُ ابْنُ عَمِّهِ فَسَأَلَهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ فَمَنَعَهُ مَنَعَهُ اللَّهُ فَضْلَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ . وَمَنْ مَنَعَ فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ لِيَمْنَعَ بِهِ فَضْلَ الْكَلَإِ مَنَعَهُ اللَّهُ فَضْلَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرَوَى أَحْمَدُ مِنْهُ : النَّهْيَ عَنْ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ فَقَطْ . وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَفِي بَعْضِهِمْ كَلَامٌ لَا يَضُرُّ . وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْفِرْدَوْسِيُّ ؛ ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَزْدِيُّ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَقَالَ : لَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرَوَى أَحْمَدُ مِنْهُ : النَّهْيَ عَنْ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ فَقَطْ . وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَفِي بَعْضِهِمْ كَلَامٌ لَا يَضُرُّ . وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْفِرْدَوْسِيُّ ؛ ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَزْدِيُّ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَقَالَ : لَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any man whose cousin comes to him and asks him for something of his surplus, and he refuses to give it to him, Allah Almighty will withhold His bounty from him on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever withholds surplus water in order thereby to withhold surplus pasture, Allah Almighty will withhold His bounty from him on the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Imam Ahmad recorded from it only the part prohibiting (the withholding of) surplus water. Imam Ahmad's narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), and there is criticism about some of them that does no harm. In al-Tabarani's chain there is a narrator, Muhammad bin al-Hasan al-Firdawsi, whom al-Azdi declared weak on account of this hadith, saying: It is not mahfuz (preserved).
