بَابُ فَضْلِ الْمَاءِ وَالْكَلَإِ وَمَا لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعَهُ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " لَا تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ ، وَلَا تَمْنَعُوا الْكَلَأَ فَيَهْزُلَ الْمَاءُ ، وَتَجُوعَ الْعِيَالُ " .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Do not withhold surplus water, and do not withhold pasture, otherwise the water will diminish and the families will go hungry." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
