وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : " مَنْ مَنَعَ فَضْلَ مَائِهِ أَوْ فَضْلَ كَلَئِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ .

In one narration the words are: "Whoever withholds surplus water, or withholds surplus pasture."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Rashid al-Khuza'i, and he is thiqah (trustworthy), though some have declared him weak.
