Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 656

Sayyiduna Aws bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever lies about his Prophet, or about his eyes, or about his parents (that is, whoever narrates a false hadith, or relates a false dream, or attributes himself to someone other than his father) will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is hasan (good).
