وَعَنْ أَبِي بُصَيْلَةَ قَالَ : قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَامَ سِتَّةٍ ، سَعِّرْ لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَا يَسْأَلُنِي اللَّهُ عَنْ سُنَّةٍ أَحْدَثْتُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ لَمْ يَأْمُرْنِي بِهَا ، وَلَكِنْ سَلُوا اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ؛ ضَعَّفَهُ النَّسَائِيُّ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ غَيْرُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Busaylah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: In the sixth year it was submitted to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah! Fix prices for us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty will not call me to account for a practice that I imposed upon you without Allah Almighty having commanded me to do so; rather, ask Allah Almighty for His bounty."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Bakr bin Sahl al-Dimyati, whom al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) declared da'if (weak), while others declared him trustworthy; the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
