وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ - قَالَ : قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَوِّمْ لَنَا السِّعْرَ . قَالَ : " غَلَاءُ السِّعْرِ وَرُخْصُهُ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ ، أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَلْقَى رَبِّي وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ ظَلَمْتُهَا إِيَّاهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ الْأَصْبَغُ بْنُ نُبَاتَةَ ؛ وَثَّقَهُ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ الْأَئِمَّةُ ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : مَتْرُوكٌ .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ الْأَصْبَغُ بْنُ نُبَاتَةَ ؛ وَثَّقَهُ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ الْأَئِمَّةُ ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ : مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: It was submitted: "O Messenger of Allah! Fix prices for us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The rise and fall of prices are in the Hand of Allah Almighty. I want that when I come before my Lord, no one should have a claim against me for any wrong that I did to him."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains al-Asbagh bin Nubatah, whom al-Ijli declared trustworthy, while the Imams declared him da'if (weak), and some said he is matruk (abandoned).
