وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَلَا نَبِيعُ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنَّ الَّذِي حَرَّمَ شُرْبَهَا حَرَّمَ بَيْعَهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the command prohibiting wine was revealed, the people said: "O Messenger of Allah! Should we not sell it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The One who made drinking it unlawful has also made selling it unlawful."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
