Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Hurayrah! Hold a walimah, even if it is with one goat (slaughtered for the feast)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin al-Mu'ammal, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), saying: He makes mistakes. Two reports are transmitted from Yahya bin Ma'in about him. The leading scholars declared him da'if (weak), and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
