وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : مَا كَانَ مِنْ خُلُقٍ أَبْغَضَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مِنَ الْكَذِبِ ، وَمَا اطَّلَعَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ بِشَيْءٍ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ أَحْدَثَ تَوْبَةً .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَأَحْمَدُ بِنَحْوِهِ .
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْ خُلُقٍ أَبْغَضَ إِلَى أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ أَيْضًا ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحٌ .

وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْ خُلُقٍ أَبْغَضَ إِلَى أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ أَيْضًا ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ صَحِيحٌ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: No trait was more hateful to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) than lying. Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of a lie on the part of someone, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would remain displeased with that person until he came to know that he had now repented (and would not do so again). Imam al-Bazzar recorded this narration, and Imam Ahmad recorded a narration similar to it. In one narration the words are: "No trait was (more hateful than lying) to the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
