Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 6061

Sayyidah Aishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: A lizard was presented as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but he did not eat it. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, should we not feed it to the poor?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not feed them what you yourselves do not eat."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and the narrators of both are the narrators of the Sahih.
